What happens when you combine a powerful female horn section, Motown‐style vocals, a Latin‐influenced rhythm section and a Top‐40‐calibre stage show? The Achromatics: Music to be appreciated by the mind and body.
The Achromatics are a nine‐person superband creating a new sensation in music ‐ driven by soulful melody, Latin rhythm, and ferocious showmanship. They have been dazzling audiences throughout Ontario including stops at The Beaches International Jazz Festival, Newmarket Music Festival, and Canada’s Largest Ribfest.
Their debut record, “Give Me That Beat” will be released internationally on November 24 of 2017, with a CD release party in Toronto on November 29 at Hugh’s Room Live.
The Achromatics transmit sound and experience without distinguishing between genres. A truly Canadian band, it’s their mission to create good music that is accessible to everyone.
“The Achromatics are an exciting, high‐energy band that delivers a perfect combination of Latin/funk‐based grooves and catchy pop hooks. The lead vocals are dynamic and the solid rhythm section backs an impressive female horn section of accomplished instrumentalists who deliver pitch‐perfect harmony vocals. The writing is strong, as is the message.
This is a fun group whose future is very bright.”
